Welcome to Rad Roasting Co, where the brews are bold, the vibes are high and the grind is anything but ordinary.

Tucked into the east fringe of central ÅŒtautahi Christchurch, Aotearoa, we’re a small but mighty roastery bringing big energy to the coffee scene. Since firing up our roaster, we’ve been on a wild ride, exploring epic single origins, dialling in killer profiles and teaming up with some of the raddest indie businesses in town for collabs that fuel the community and taste bloody awesome.

Our blends are inspired by the tricks, thrills and spills of life on wheels and waves. Kickflip was our first drop; smooth, bold and built to go the distance. Now we’ve added Hang 10 to the lineup: mellow, cruisy and made for laid-back legends. And we’re just getting started.

At Rad, we don’t just roast ethically sourced beans, we back sustainability in every cup, every collab and every repair job on tired espresso gear. We're here to keep the good times rolling and the coffee flowing, with as little waste and as much stoke as possible.

OUR STORY

Once upon a time in the vibrant city of Christchurch, a crew of passionate coffee lovers and adventure seekers had a vision. It all started with a shared love for the thrill of the ride, whether it be on a surfboard, skateboard or mountain bike.
Our fearless founder, a true aficionado of the raddest experiences life has to offer, dreamt of blending the excitement of action sports with the soul-satisfying joy of a perfect cup of coffee. And so, Rad Roasting Co was born; conceived in the spirit of adventure and fuelled by the desire to create the most legendary coffee blends known to humanity.
The journey began with a commitment to sourcing only the finest ethically grown beans from every corner of the globe. Like intrepid mountain bikers seeking the perfect trail, we scoured the world for the best coffee beans, ensuring each one carried the essence of its origin.
