How should I store coffee to keep it fresh?

Two words: cool and airtight.
Coffee’s biggest enemies are oxygen, moisture, heat and light. Keep beans in a sealed container, away from sun and heat sources. Don’t store them in the fridge (moisture + odours = sad beans) and definitely not the freezer unless you’re portioning for long-term storage.
Pro tip: buy coffee in amounts you’ll smash through in 2–3 weeks. That’s the sweet spot where flavour’s still poppin’. And if your bag has a one-way valve, keep it zipped. It’s there for a reason.
